Surprise major practice 7.30pm Monday 1st December 2025 at Southover, Lewes.
I have for some time been running a Surprise Major practice on Monday evenings at Southover tower, using the tied bells. This isn’t a regular practice, as it doesn’t take place when we don’t have enough ringers, or when I’m unavailable or occupied with other commitments.
I feel the practice could benefit from a bit of a refresh, so I’ve decided to advertise it on the SCACR calendar. Anyone learning Surprise Major is very welcome to join us. We usually ring methods from the Core Seven, as well as Turramurra and Rutland.
