2026 Northern District Summer Outing!!
All are welcome on Saturday 1st August for a thoroughly-enjoyable sunny seaside trip to Portsmouth, for this year’s Northern District Summer Outing!!
With an opportunity to ring on three superb rings of bells, including the excellent 12 of Portsmouth Cathedral, the trip promises to be a very enjoyable day out, with quality ringing for all! Timings for the day are as follows:
10:30 - 11:15: Portsea, St. Mary; 8, 17-0-7cwt (PO1 5QH)
12.00 - 13:00: Portsmouth, St. Agatha; 8, 3-0-1cwt (PO1 4RL)

15:00 - 16:00: Portsmouth, Cathedral; 12, 25-2-0cwt (PO1 2HA)
Lunch is by own arrangement, though a range of convenient local options exist, including: Fish and Chips from Southsea Pier - a short walk from the Cathedral, The Isambard Kingdom Brunel Wetherspoons Pub by Portsmouth & Southsea Station, and number of local cafes, pubs, and supermarkets, all within short walking distance of the day’s towers.
Ringing will cater for all, with repertoire across the full range of experience to provide an engaging time for everybody! If you aren’t familiar with visiting new towers please also feel welcome to bring a tutor with you to support!
