Event Description:
Walk and ring at Eastbourne towers. Exact programme is now finalised.
All Saints bells return to the church this Friday, May 20th, and will be on display in the church over the weekend, and then installed in the following week. On Saturday 28th the tower will be open for viewing, but as a working location, so any visitors will be subject to careful restriction. Should be interesting though!
So our walk itinerary will now be: St Mary's 10.15 - 11.0, St Saviour's 11.30-12.30, then visiting All Saints can be done between 12.30 and 3.0 - we could all go together, or split it up so there aren't too many at one time (depending on how many are walking!). Lunch - picnic/cafe/pub also between 12.30 and 3.0, with optional swimming!
Then gather together (if necessary) to walk down the sea front to Christ Church, where the bells are available any time we want them between 3.0 and 5.0 (we won't ring for 2 hours though!)
Lunch arrangements might include fish and chips and/or ice cream on the beach or a selection of cafes.
Ringing for all levels appropriate. Come and enjoy a seaside day out with ringing attached!
Guided walk between towers if wanted. You could start at Christ Church at about 9.30 (ample free parking!) and walk up to St Mary's. Contact Marion (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) if you want to do this.
