DESCRIPTION:Join us for the first post-lockdown Northern District event!! There's some
thing for everyone:\n\n - 13.50 - meet at the church (the loo will be avail
able)\n - 14.00-15.00 - short, gentle walk in the beautiful countryside aro
und Slaugham\n - 15.00-16.00 - tea & cake in the church and churchyard,
and ringing (we hope to have some handbells too)Please arrive promptly for
the walk, and bring your own mug. If you could bring some home baking tha
t would be much appreciated!\nThis event will be held according to governme
nt guidance and the updated Central Council guidance on ringing: https://cc

Please bring a facemask and hand sanitiser with you. The church is ground
floor so we can have the doors open during ringing to ensure good ventilati
on, and we will restrict the number of people in the ringing room. \nWalk
description: a circular route from and back to St Mary's Church in Slaugham
. It is two and three quarter miles and will take about one hour. There are
flat sections with three gentle inclines and one long gentle decline plus
seven stiles. Ideally walkers will wear walking boots and we suggest long t
rousers would be better than shorts because some of the fields have been le
ft for long grass to grow and that is the environment in which ticks live.
\nThose who don't wish to walk can amble around the churchyard, sit and cha
t - and even make a start on the coffee and cake (remember to leave some fo
r the walkers!). \nMany thanks to Linda Richardson for leading the walk, an
