Sussex Ringers Live on BBC Radio

‘If you want to learn the art of bellringing listen out!’ On Sunday 8th July, Sussex Ringers Rob Lane (Master), Marisa Hayes and Julie McDonnell featured live on BBC Radio Sussex and Surrey’s ‘Sunday Breakfast with Emily Jeffery’. They discussed the international Ringing Remembers recruitment campaign and the Young Ringers’ National Contest (which Sussex won!). They encouraged people to have a go at learning this ancient art – a team activity that’s open to all, where you’re welcome at towers all over the country and in other parts of the world. And yes, we’ll be ringing to celebrate a football world cup win!

Here is a link to the programme, (available until 6th August) https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p06bm2nk - go to 1h22 for Julie and 2h21 for Rob and Marisa.

The Central Council also featured this as their top news story at the weekend!
