The February Eastern District meeting includes ringing, lunch and the ADM.
There will be ringing in the Grade II* listed St Peter's church in the Old Town of Bexhill, followed by lunch and then the Annual District Meeting.
The bells at Bexhill consist of a real mix of founders and ages, forming a lovely 17cwt ring of 10, with a semi-tone allowing 11cwt and 6cwt rings of 6. They are an accessible ground floor ring, open to the church, with plenty of room for all. Despite the number of churches in the town, they are the only full circle ring.
Names for lunch to Marion Hollands (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) in advance please.
The February meeting is a social event and as well as the formal business of the ADM it is a good opportunity for new and improving ringers to meet fellow ringers from across the District and also for Tower Captains, Ringing Masters and ringing trainers to meet each other and share experience, tips and knowledge.
If you are interested in standing for any of the roles on the committee, or just to help out with organising events, training etc in 2024-25 please speak to Marion for more information.
There is limited parking next to the church but parking is available on De La Warr Road or in the pay and display car park at Bexhill Manor, the station is a 10 minute walk away.
