Walk and ring in the area of Bewl Water. The full walk around Bewl is 13 miles. The southern side of the lake is the least attractive for walking, as much of the route is along tarmac roads away from the lake.
A shorter version would be to meet at Ticehurst (there is a bus from Tun Wells and Wadhurst arriving about 10-15) and walk around the east, north and west sides of the lake from there. The visitor centre is a little over half way round, and has eating facilities, and a car park (paying) if anyone wants to join in there. From there we walk along the west side of the lake and branch off to Wadhurst, where ringing on the 8 will be avialable. This walk would be about 12 miles in total.
Estimated timings - Ticehurst leave 10-15, Visitor Centre arrive 12-30/1.0, leave 2-0, arrive Wadhurst 3.0/3.30, ringing (t.b.c.) 3.30 - 4.30. There is also a bus from Wadhurst back to Ticehurst at 4-20.
