Event Description:

All welcome on the Eastern District's ringing outing to Aldrington, Brighton and Shoreham, in the following order:

Aldrington - 6 bells, St Peter's - 10 bells, St Nicholas - 10 bells, The Good Shepherd - 8 bells, Shoreham - 8 bells

Aldrington 10-10.45 (kettle and loo)
St Peter's 11.30-12.15 (toilets and a kitchen in the main hall)

A few lunch tips from Gavin :
Pubs will get crowded and noisy, particularly with new Uni students on pub crawls.  Fortunately B&HFC are away that day!   Near St Peter’s there is the North Laine Brewhouse, just south of the tower.  Opposite is Trafalgar Street which as you head up the hill towards the station has the Prince George (Vegan), Great Eastern (cosy), Lord Nelson, Prince Albert and at the end The Grand Central. Closer to St Nick’s is the Evening Star (cosy), Sussex Yeoman, Duke of Wellington and Craft Beer Co (Upper North Street).

St Nic's 1.45-2.30 (kitchenette by tower, loos in hall)
Good Shepherd 3.15-4.0 (loo)
Shoreham 4.45-5.30

First tower Aldrington 10-10.45 where on-street parking is is available until 11. Parking available at Church House unless there is an event,

From there we go to St Peter's 11.30-12.15 then lunch.
St Nic's 1.45-2.30
Good Shepherd 3.15-4.0
Shoreham 4.45-5.30.

Nick's transport advice:
Car drivers could park at Aldrington until 10.45 then move. Parking anywhere in Brighton & Hove is horrendously expensive during the day.
West of Portslade Station Road (only a short distance from Aldrington) parking is unrestricted (but of course finding a space is the next problem!)
The next zone towards Brighton from Aldrington covers the bit inland from Hove Lagoon (look at the Brighton parking zones map https://parkingzonesmap.brighton-hove.gov.uk/) and is restricted 10.0-11.0 so could be used after Aldrington.
Anywhere around St Peter's and St Nic's on street parking is metered and probably chock-a-block! - Car parks may be available -at a price!
Parking is currently unrestricted immediately around and to the west of Good Shepherd so could leave cars there while in the centre? (if there are any spaces!) Parking is metered in the roads at the back of the church.

Personally I think I would go by train and bus! Plenty of buses Aldrington to Brighton City Centre, or train from Portslade.
