Hazel Craven was a long service member of the Association and rang at Southover. She passed away on Saturday 1st August.

Hazel was taught to ring by Stan and Harry Brown at Aldrington in 1952. She married in 1955 and moved to Bedfordshire, before returning to Sussex in 1965. Due to family and work commitments there was a short lapse in her ringing until 1979 when she joined Southover Church Bellringers Guild. She was an extremely efficient secretary from 1989 until 2014. Her last few years were spent in Claydon House nursing home in Lewes.

There is to be a memorial service on 21st October at St Pancras Church Kingston at 2pm, with refreshments afterwards at a venue TBC. For those of you who remember her and would like to go to the service, please let Clare Cullen know so that she can pass details on to Hazel's son Will.
