500 years of St Peter's Twineham

St Peter's Church is one of the earliest brick built churches in Sussex, built during the 16th Century, local tradition gives this as 1516 during the reign of Henry VIII (1509-1547). Next year during the week of St Peter & St Pauls Day (29 June 2016) St Peter's Church will celebrate 500 years with services and events planned to commemorate this wonderful occasion.

To mark this historic occasion, a Book of Memories will be produced by the Parochial Church Council and we are appealing to anyone who has now, or in the past, any connection with St Pe

We hope to gather memories from people married at St Peter’s (and perhaps their family and other wedding guests), those whose children were baptised here, the many with connections with Twineham CEP School who will have attended schools services in the Church, bell ringers who have visited our tower, relatives or friends of people at rest in our beautiful Churchyard, and anyone who has enjoyed visiting our historic building.

Please help us to celebrate by sharing YOUR memories and photos!

Please send your written memory to Mrs Jo Worsley, Twineham Place Farm, Twineham Lane, Twineham, West Sussex RH17 5NP or via email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. The deadline is 31st December 2015.

We would be grateful if you would include a stamped addressed envelope for the return of your photographs.
