Sweeping changes are underway at the CCCBR (Central Council for Church Bellringers) to modernise it, and make it more relevant to and supportive of all ringers. Key to this is a complete rewrite of the Council’s rules – a revised draft of the new rules is now available for comments and suggestions. Please do take a look at the new draft rules, and submit your comments and suggestions by 12th January 2018!
It’s important that as many ringers as possible – no matter what ability or background – provide feedback and suggestions on the draft rules. The Central Council exists to support and represent you, so please do get involved in this process. You might have experience or ideas from non-ringing activities that could be very valuable.
There’s a nice overview of the work being undertaken to rewrite the rules, feedback so far, and things to consider in the 15th December issue of Ringing World. Feedback submitted at this stage will guide work on the final version of the new rules, which will be published in February, in good time for the next Central Council meeting in May 2018.
