Death of Ken Knight (past Master of the association)

Sadly we have to inform everyone that Ken Knight, a Long Service member of the Sussex County Association (SCACR), died earlier today (18 Dec 2017). He has been Master of the Association, Captain at Aldingbourne, Tower Master at Chichester Cathedral and was an active member of the Association.

Death of Anne Daughtry (ringer at Arundel & Walberton)

We are sorry to report the recent death of Anne Daughtry on 21^st November 2017. She was a long standing member of the Sussex County Association at Arundel and Walberton.

Death of Ken Jones (former Ringmer ringer)

Ken Jones, former member of Ringmer Tower and father of Marisa Hayes has died aged 86.

A service of thanksgiving will take place at St Mary's Church in Ringmer on Monday 6 November at 11am. Ringers are invited to join us from 10.30am or after the Service.

Death of Rosemary Brown (Hurstpierpoint ringer)

We are sorry to report the recent death of Rosemary Brown of Hurstpierpoint. Rosemary, widow of Stan, one of the legendary 'Brown Twins', had been a member of the Hurstpierpoint band for almost sixty years.

Death of Robin Green (former Henfield ringer)

We have just heard that Robin Green has sadly unexpectedly died. He used to be a ringer at Henfield before he went to live in Oxfordshire, though he still regularly visited Sussex.

Robin passed away in early August, while out travelling around the country in his boat. He peacefully in his sleep on 7th August 2017, aged 67.

All are welcome at the funeral if anyone would like to attend - to take place at Worth Crematorium (Sussex & Surrey) at 3.15 pm on Friday 8 September.
